About Katie

Meet your new third wheel.

Hi, I'm Katie — a Milwaukee, WI-based wedding and lifestyle photographer specializing in the space between documentary and editorial.
Smiling female photographer holding DSLR camera up in black top and olive striped trousers.

I've had a camera in my hand for over 10 years, and for the last three I've had the privilege of turning that passion into a career doing what I love most: telling love stories.

Photography and entrepreneurship are practically in my DNA. My grandfather owned a photography gear shop, and passed his business wisdom down to my dad, who ran a car repair shop for many years. The love of photography was passed on to my older brother, who fell for it in high school — and since he's my favorite person ever, I wanted to be just like him growing up, so I naturally followed in his footsteps. (By "followed in his footsteps," I mean I stole his DSLR and signed myself up for photography classes.) My earliest passion was fine art photography — I wanted to create images that made people stop, stare, and think.

Many years and adventures later, weddings and lifestyle sessions reignited that passion in the best possible way. Here, I get to capture love in its most pure, unguarded forms — and keep creating those images that stop you in your tracks and make you truly feel.

My approach

When we’re together, you won’t feel stiff or awkward—I promise. I love to yap, hype you up, get to know you and your people, and make every part of your story feel seen. Every story is different, and I take the time to learn yours so I can document it in a way that feels natural and true to who you are.

As a documentary style wedding photographer, real connection is the most important thing to me. I love guiding my clients into poses that feel real and comfortable while prioritizing movement, letting you feel present while I do the observing. My editing style is true-to-color with a touch of moodiness, preserving skin tones and the mood of the day while adding a subtle layer of romance. Every image is hand-edited with care to ensure your gallery feels cohesive.

Most importantly, all love is welcome here. I celebrate every couple, every family, every story. Your love deserves to be photographed exactly as it is: honest, joyful, and unapologetically you. And I’m honored to help you remember it.

Yap with me about...

  • Fantasy romance books (Shield of Sparrows wrecked me)
  • A crisp Diet Coke (from McDonald's specifically)
  • Sleep Token (As my top artist in 2025, I spent 15,585 minutes listening to them...)
  • Sabrina Carpenter (In comparison to Sleep Token, I spent 1,928 minutes listening to her in 2025...)
  • Twilight (I still don't know which team I'm on tbh)
  • Houseplants (I have about 30 plants right now, and have killed twice that amount)
  • Heated blankets (always, even in summer)
  • Impulsive tattoos (I have 9 hehe)
  • Schitt's Creek (I've watched the whole series probably three times)
  • Crewneck sweatshirts (they're better than hoodies, fight me)
  • My fur baby (Fern)
  • My husband (Andrew)

Let me be your third wheel.

I'm pretty great at it.
